London 12A Kit
Acoustic treatment kit designed for rooms with a footprint of approximately 120 to 150 ft. square feet (11 to 14 sq./meters). The Broadway London 12A room kit follows a variant of the LEDE concept (live-end, dead-end) whereby the source or transmit section of the room has greater dampening while the receive section is sparsely treated in effort to retain natural room ambiance.
The London 12A kit contains: Fabric wrapped fiberglass acoustic panels, all mounting hardware, impalers, wall anchors and instructions for easy installation.
The plain fact is that most studios, whether in the home or in a commercial building, tend to have a rectangular shape as this is the most cost effective method of building a room. Unfortunately, this makes the room ineffective for creating music. Parallel walls introduce chatter echo and standing waves while room modes cause resonant frequencies and harmonics which detract from the performance.
Broadway panels are constructed of high density 6 lb per cubic foot rigid fiberglass with resin hardened edges. This process works in tandem with the surface micro mesh to fully encapsulate the fiberglass. Panels are covered in an acoustically transparent fabric in choice of three colors for an architecturally attractive appearance.
Broadway panels have been tested to meet stringent class-1 fire ratings making them suitable for use in residential and commercial spaces.
